There are 13 categories to enter covering a broad range of activities across the food and drink industry, and remember, if your favourite isn’t entered, it can’t win!

Finalists will be selected by a panel of expert judges and the winner will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hatfield Heath.

We would like to thank every one of you that attended the fundraiser in aid of the new cancer unit at Colchester hospital.

On Sat 1st August we held a BBQ & QUIZ NIGHT  to raise money for the new cancer unit at Colchester Hospital.
£10 per person was donated which included a mixed grill BBQ and entry to the Quiz. £8 WENT STRAIGHT TO THE CHARITY & £2 INTO THE POT FOR THE WINNING TEAM!

Matt and Phil will also cycle to Paris to raise money for this fantastic cause, and as always we were amazed with the support and generosity of you all!!!

The entire community came out in force again and with well over one hundred of you in attendance a whopping £1,110.00 was raised.

Cancer Units are vital, patients are able to be treated by specialised nurses and doctors, Cancer Units can also provide a range of chemotherapies, which allows more patients to be treated closer to home.

Around 10 young people are diagnosed with cancer every single day, and tragically 1 in 3 of us WILL get cancer in our lifetime.

Go hard or go home... Livvy's Race Day 100 mile carriage drive fundraiser

Olivia was diagnosed with chondroblastic osteosarcoma, a severe form of bone cancer, in the left pelvis in February just days after her fifteenth birthday. After 30 weeks of chemotherapy at UCLH the tumour had not shrunk so the only option was to undergo major surgery. On 3rd November Olivia had an 8 and a half hour operation in which her left leg, pelvis and sacrum were amputated. She sat up for a few minutes for the first time on Tuesday and on Thursday sat in a wheelchair.

"Go hard or go home" is the expression Livvy used whilst on a carriage ride with Alan Coe, after he suggested they wait until the rain had passed. They took the carriage drive together just before Livvy bravely underwent surgery to remove the tumour in her hip.

On Monday 5th May several pairs of horses were driven from the Hare and Hounds pub in Layer Breton, Colchester. Over 100 miles of non stop driving to Fakenham Racecourse in Norfolk on Tuesday 6th May for 'Livvy's Race', to help raise funds.

Local and national journalists and reporters descended onto the starting point... WATCH ITV'S REPORT HERE!
